A limited number of travel awards will be available ($1,000 for U.S. attendees, and $1,500 for international attendees) that can be used to defray expenses for lodging and/or travel.  Travel awards recipients will be expected to attend all professional development activities at the meeting. For details, click on this link. Child care awards ($250/ea.) will also be available to help pay for baby-sitting and other child care services during the meeting.  

Awardees will be selected on the basis of financial need and preferentially to (1) underrepresented minority students, fellows, and junior faculty, and disabled individuals; (2) graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; and (3) junior faculty within 6 years of their initial appointment.

To apply for a Travel Award, please supply the following:

  1. Personal statement describing research program, career goals, and justification for financial need (one page)
  2. Two letters of reference, for trainees one of these should be from your primary research mentor
  3. Updated CV
  4. Abstract to be presented at the meeting

  1. Cover letter requesting the need for support
  2. Updated CV
  3. Abstract to be presented at the meeting
